How long will it take for my kit to arrive?
Generally you can expect to receive your kit within 10 business days.
How long can I keep the kit for?
Clients have five days to conduct their testing before returning their rental equipment.
How are kits returned?
Kits are returned via a prepaid shipping label. Simply drop at your nearest FedEx location.
When will I receive my lab results?
Lab results are generally received one week following your return of equipment and samples.
How do I schedule my consult?
At the time your kit is shipped, you will be emailed to set up a consult that will take place within a few days of receiving your lab results.
How difficult is wall cavity testing?
Each wall cavity sample takes under five minutes start to finish and leaves a 1/3 inch hole that can be covered with spackle.
What is the purpose of using the moisture meter?
Use of the moisture meter allows clients to identify areas with water intrusion or leaks behind drywall, in ceilings, floors, and other areas not visible to the naked eye. It measures moisture up to 1 1/4 inch behind drywall and wood.
Is testing for mold, VOCs, and formaldehyde difficult?
Simple step by step instructions and a short video make it easy to inspect for water intrusion and conduct sampling. Please see each individual test for total time required.
Do you clean your equipment between rentals?
Yes! All equipment is non-porous and is cleaned in between rentals.
I've already completed an ERMI. Is there any reason to do additional testing?
The ERMI has been deemed a tool for research purposes only. We have identified hidden sources of mold with our sampling techniques despite an excellent ERMI score. Additionally our testing can help you locate a source of mold if you've had concerning ERMI results.
